July 26, 2023 Chip Fosth Update

Valued Seawatch Owners,

This week at Seawatch we remained busy, most of it behind the scenes, so not a lot of pictures. This week we had all the units rescreened, & what a difference it makes just looking at the building! It looks much cleaner now that all the screens have been put back in, it really sets off the new paint on the building!

Our new phone system came in & is in process of being programed. The new phones are very sharp & use the latest technology! I spoke with Comcast about our system & our new Wi-Fi & phones will have an improved signal for better conductivity on the property.

All the new Seawatch signs were ordered through Sabal Signs who have done our signs in the past. All new entryway, lobby, pool bar signs among others are on in production. Plans for the new pool bar have been finalized & will soon be in production, it will be nicer than ever! I know how many of you spend lots of time there, whether it’s playing BINGO, doing crafts, or enjoying Rhonda’s magic elixirs! Rhonda was at the resort last week looking over our pool bar upgrades. Like everyone else, can’t wait to see everyone enjoying their time at Seawatch!

Weather Shield was back out to redo some of the areas of coping which did not pass inspection. All of the pieces are custom made for our roof, so there is some variation in the pieces & the inspector wanted to see a more uniform edge.

we are still waiting for an appointment with FPL who needs to witness the electrical connection to the meter & transformer. We are hoping to receive that this week. We are also hoping to hear about our General Building permit from the City of FMB. We were given a date of 7/21 to hear back from them, but they did not respond to us. After receiving our General Building permit, we will be able to move forward with repairing the units & first floor, so we are eagerly waiting!

Thank you all for your continued support! As a reminder, the resort is an active constructions site. I realize with all the progress we are making that it’s tempting to come by and see it in person, but we are closed to the public.

Staying Seawatch Strong,

Chip Fosth

Resort Director
