Good afternoon fellow Seawatch-on-the-Beach owners. Florida Power and Light is still scheduled to visit our property on January 11, 2024 to fully restore our power. Unfortunately, we learned today that the glass doors for the lobby are not expected to be delivered until late February 2024. Installation should follow in early March 2025. Obviously, this one component of our reconstruction will now influence the earliest date in which we can re-open. This is a good example of why we cannot predict a re-open date yet. There continue to be owner comments on the unaffiliated Facebook page that introduce speculation on our re-opening date, and these comments have absolutely no truth. We are again stating that we do not have a predicted re-opening date, however, it is becoming much more likely that the resort will remain closed through at least the entire first calendar quarter of 2024. Please understand that everyone involved is doing everything possible to re-open Seawatch as soon as possible. Every week that passes increases our insurance claim by about $50,000 when the closure necessitates maintenance fee credits. We again urge anyone that is purchasing prepaid travel to do so only on a fully refundable basis. We will endeavor to keep you updated on our construction progress as more information is received.
