Valued Owners,
We continue to soldier on at Seawatch with our repairs. This week the painters put the finishing touches on the front and rear doors. The new paint makes them blend right into the building like
they were always there! Hopefully we will receive the green light shortly to energize them. Having the new ADA doors will certainly add convenience to entering and exiting the building. Universal
was here pulling the old fence post cores out of the seawall. The old post holes will be filled, and the seawall capped after the new fence goes in. The south privacy wall fence pieces came in this week as well. Across the street at the tennis court, the next layer of surfacing was spread out to dry. The paint for the court was delivered, and the light poles were installed. Weaver Electric should be out to wire them up soon. As you can see from the picture, the final remains of the Dolphin were removed. I know many of you stayed there over the years and have fond memories.
On the inside, everyone was focused on the cast iron pipes. First Onsite teams were here putting down protective flooring and preparing for remediation and surgical removal of drywall and fixtures. Current Flow was here to direct the drywall removal, so hopefully, the repairs can be minimized as much as possible. We are beginning with the 06 stack, which seemed to be the worst from the
inspection camera footage. Attached are several pictures from opening the walls to get to the pipes. As you can see, replacement was absolutely necessary. We will continue to work as quickly
as possible to get everyone back at Seawatch. When we do get a reopening date, we will call from the resort to the owners with upcoming reservations with as much notice as we can. As a friendly
reminder, Seawatch is an active construction site, please refrain from coming to the property until we reopen.
Thank you for your patience and staying Seawatch strong,
Chip Fosth
Resort Director
