Happy Holidays Everyone!

This week at Seawatch we began to get festive in preparation for the Christmas season. Rhoda, along with some of our staff and owners decorated the lobby with our new tree. It definitely is a great addition to our lobby area.

On the outside we completed the landscaping irrigation lines and added 2 more truckloads of trees to the property along with the bushes around the pool deck. Having all the new plants around the resort is certainly starting to give us a more finished look as we continue in our restoration of Seawatch. We also had the guys from Mosquito Mist in to run the new lines for the No-see-um sprayers. Their system worked so well keeping the bugs off the pool area we couldn’t wait to get them set back up.

On Friday both Amerigas and SW Florida propane were out to look at setting up propane for the property. Now that the grills are mounted on both sides of the pool deck area, they will have a more accurate idea of what they will need to do for our grills and hot tub. Both companies have told us that they will be able to start as soon as proposals are approved. Our pool railings, ladder, and the handicapped chairs are supposed to be picked up this week for installation for the pool and spa, so that hopefully by the end of this week we will be able to call for final inspection with the city. All of our other safety items have already been installed in preparation so we can open the pool as soon as possible. This week we will also install the volleyball net on the freshly groomed beach. The tennis court so far has seen quite a bit of use with the cool weather. One of our owners knows the tennis pro from our Casa-Ybel property on Sanibel, and she came and gave some lessons to several of our owners. If this is something some of you may enjoy, we can set something up at Seawatch as well.

On the inside, we continued to get all the rooms dialed in with last-minute repairs and things our owners found that our contractors missed. Comcast will be back to replace all the cable boxes, since they recently made an upgrade to their system which should give us high-definition pictures in all the rooms.

Since our reopening, so far we have had far more Club and RCI guests than ever before, since many of our owners converted their weeks to points. Most have remarked that they have been trying to get into Seawatch for many years and were pleasantly surprised that they finally have been able to do so. Several have inquired about buying her so they could continue to come back, so you may have some new friends here soon. So far this year the shelling has been great, along with the sunsets so hopefully we will be able to welcome you back to Seawatch soon!

Seawatch strong,

Chip Fosth
