June 11, 2025 Chip Fosth Update

Another busy week at Seawatch as week 2 of the maintenance weeks comes to an end. As with week 1, Comcast was here replacing boxes on floors 4 and 5. New living room shears were replaced on those floors along with preventative maintenance and repairs for the door walls, you call them sliders down here! Advanced Storm Shutters were here doing repair work and lubricating the hurricane shutters on the front of the building. The maintenance team used a buffer to scuff up the tiles along the upper pool deck, bathrooms, and handicapped ramps so the tile wouldn’t be so slippery when it gets wet. We had tried some other materials in the past which we didn’t feel worked well enough. Our propane tank was buried on the south side of the resort. As they were digging the hole for the tank on the north side, they found water lines and sewer lines that had not been identified and had to stop until they could get those lines surveyed. The new motors were delivered for the spa as well as other pieces of the controller, so work on that has finally begun! The new chemical feeder drums were delivered for the pool as well. They will be installed well before the July 1st date given to us by the Health Department. We had substantial rain towards the beginning of this week which hampered some of the other outdoor maintenance activities. This week also marked our first food donation to one of the local food banks. It took about 3 weeks to fil the box in the lobby with dry goods and non-perishables items left by our generous owners. In week 3 of maintenance, we plan to finish up several of the projects, along with completing new ones and as always, we look forward to welcoming you back to your home away from home!

See you soon!
