Valued Owners,
This week we continued to to put finishing touches on the drywall on the first floor. Filling & sanding isn’t very exciting, but it needs to be done right. We anticipate being able to begin putting the primer on this week before texturing & painting. Summit Fire Systems continued their work on our fire pump installation & the new curcuit boards for the system. This week they were to tie the system into the elevator comminication systems. We did receive our permit for the new fences around the pool deck, but we are still waiting for the permit on the concrete privacy wall between Seawatch & Island Winds. When we receive that, we will be able to start laying the new rebar & putting in forms for the concrete on the pool deck. The plumbing drains will need to be put in on the pool deck, then we can have the concrete poured for the pool deck. After that the new travertine can be laid, then the pool filters, heaters etc. & then then the new pool & hot tub shells can be finished. Much of these steps are tied together like a row of dominos & have to be completed in order.
Rock Solid was out this week to begin fitting our cabinetry together for our new pool bar! Over the next few weeks we should be able to see that completed. I can’t wait to see it when it’s done! They met with Price Electric & Camanche Construction to coordinate details.
This coming week has the highly anticipated re-connection by FPL to the street power grid & installation of the new electrcial meter! I have decided that I will take a bottle of my favorite bubbly to the resort to celebrate with the team upon successful completeion! After successful completion of electrical activation, we will be able to begin testing all electrcial appliances in the units. Every refrigerator, stove, microwave, hot water heater, dishwasher, TV, coffee pot etc will be run, inspected & verified. Every step forward is a win & another closer to opening.
United Plumbing will be out this week to begin putting drains in the pool bathrooms along with working on the main drains from the resort to the FMB sewer system. The drains to the street were filled with debris & sand from the storm surge. Hopefully they will be able to clear these rather than having to replace them.
Thank you all for your continued support. As you know, we do not have an official re-opening date yet for Seawatch. As we continue to move forward, we will make sure to keep you all as updated as possible for our reopening.
Staying Seawatch Strong,
Chip Fosth
