Good afternoon fellow owners. We continue to see many social media posts from our understandably frustrated owners when they try to make vacation plans and the uncertainly of everything. Some owners continue to speculate on an opening month and speculation is speculation, not based on any credible facts. Some of the posts I have read have a tone to them that HGV, the Board, or both, are not being transparent or honest with our owners. This could not be further from the truth. The truth is, we do not yet have an opening date, and we are doing everything we can to re-open our property. With that said, two things are now known. We will NOT be open during the first calendar quarter 2024 (January 1, 2024-March 31,2024). We do expect to open SOMETIME in the second calendar quarter of 2024 (April 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024). Based on todays information, the potential opening date seems to be toward the second half of the second calendar quarter, not the first part of it. Frankly, we should all be pleased that we can now narrow down our estimated opening date to this extent. Others are not so fortunate. Point Estero, our neighbor to the south, states “sometime in 2024”. Lani Kai, our neighbor to the north, states “date uncertain”, and, I would like to point out, Lani Kai is owned by a construction company. In conclusion, construction is moving along well. The pool and patio area remains largely untouched. There is an issue with the pipe diameter for the patio drains that connect to the sewer system and once this is resolved, the drain system construction should commence. Thank you.
