All the old units were hauled off this past Friday. Thankfully, one more box checked off! This past week we also removed all the room safes in preparation for the new ones. The master keys for the old safes were washed away along with all the other maintenance teams tools in the storm. Without a way to access the safes to restore the internal programming, we had to replace them.
Externally, the stucco over the pool bar area was completed and on Monday it was ready to be primed & will be painted afterwards. We anticipate Rock Solid will be in on Thursday to begin to set the new
cabinets & measure for the new top. I can’t wait to see it when it’s done! We will be using the same tiles as the pool & spa to compliment it. The front sign block work was completed, it was prepped, primed, stuccoed & painted in preparation of the new sign being installed by Sabal Signs. Friday United Plumbing began trenching our new drain lines. The man holes on both sides of the property will need to be replaced due to the sand & debris from the storm. A new 8-inch line will be run on the north & south
sides of the resort. These lines will also tie into the drains from the pool deck & roof run off stacks. This week we anticipate Cornerstone beginning to install our new front office check-in counter,
cabinetry, desks for my office & security desk. The Sales office work will begin after that space is enclosed.
Once again, the Seawatch Team and I sincerely appreciate all the support you owners give us as we continue to work towards reopening your home away from home. It means a lot to us. As a friendly reminder, Seawatch is an active construction site. Please do not come to the property to “look around” or ask others to do so. Recently, we have had a number of owners or friends stop in to see how repairs are coming. The most recent information can be found here or at the Board’s website. We are anticipating opening sometime in the second quarter but are still unsure of an exact opening date due to numerous factors. We will give you all the most advanced notice we can when we will be able to reopen.
Staying Seawatch Strong,
Chip Fosth
Resort Director<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Valued Seawatch Owners,This week at Seawatch we completed replacing the hot water heaters in all the units.
