Good morning fellow owners. We are getting daily reports from our restoration team and it seems that they now have a complete understanding of the water damage inside the units. They have also cleaned out the elevator pits so the elevator company can start the process of rebuilding our elevators. Years ago, we rebuilt the elevators and back then it was a nine month process, start to finish. This is because new elevators are a custom built product for the particular building involved. Today, the state of Florida is dealing with a shortage of over 30,000 construction workers. Ian has further compounded the shortage issue. This situation, combined with supply chain issues, has driven costs sky high and has adding a lot of time to get anything done. It is very possible that getting the elevators replaced could dictate the time line for the reopening of the resort.
