January 24, 2024 Chip Fosth Update

Valued Seawatch Owners,

We continued our momentum this week! On the inside, priming of the offices & lobby was completed & painting has begun! United Plumbing was out & we laid out the plan so that this week we can begin to lay the drain fields for the pool deck. They will also continue their work on the pool bathrooms & lines to the drains to the street. The main lines to the street will all need to be replaced, since the storm washed sand & debris into them, which has now hardened. This week the removal of the hot water heaters began. It should take another week or so to have them all removed, & the units prepped for installation the new water heaters. Summit Fire Systems was able to do their first auditory alarm test on the fire alarm system this week. We are still waiting for the remaining pieces for the fire pump & begin the new louver system for the room.

Outside, we began the work to fit the new pool bar cabinets into their new configuration. After spotting the cabinets into place, we designed the new framework, had the electrical, phone & cable lines run & then had the framework covered with plywood in preparation for stucco. The ceiling over the pool bar is scheduled for stucco this coming week as well. Rock Solid was out to review the bar top & the pattern for the new diamond facia. This week, we are hoping to have the pavers behind the bar installed so the cabinets can be anchored in the final locations. After that, the new plumbing & sink can be installed. I am excited to see this project bloom, knowing how much time you owners spend at the pool bar. This past week the plans for the new beach deck were sent to the city for approval. The new deck will still have a sink for washing off your shells, as well as a shower & foot wash so you won’t be bringing sand onto the pool deck. The new deck will have a ramp & railings, instead of stairs due to ADA regulations.

This week our Housekeeping Leadership will be in so we can plan for the new shelving & set up for the linens & room essentials. We will also be planning for when they can be in to begin room set-ups & begin the unit deep cleanings. Each week we try to take as many steps forward as we can as we get closer to reopening. It is essential we continue to coordinate the different projects with the different vendors as the permits & approvals.

As we continue to march forward, we come closer & closer to a reopening date. We will announce this as soon as we can. I know you all are anxious to get back to your home away from home & we can’t wait to have you. We will give you as much notice as possible. If you plan to purchase airfare in advance, please make sure you buy ones that are refundable if the resort is not open. As a reminder, if your week is still affected by the storm, as was done in 2023, your maintenance fee reimbursements will be deposited into your accounts within 60 days of the end of the quarter that your week falls in.

Staying Seawatch Strong,

Chip Fosth
