Valued Seawatch Owners,
Another busy week at your “Home away from Home!” This week we completed all the new drain lines from the street and pool deck and are now waiting for final inspection before covering the lines. Best
Pools is expected out to run the new lines for the geothermal pool heaters on the south side before those drain lines are covered. The new footers for the privacy wall have been poured and are waiting for final inspection so we can begin putting in the block wall. Schindler Elevators were here replacing rollers, rails, limit switches and other items affected by the storm. Each of the elevators will receive a complete work over. Currently, we are using the south elevator to move equipment between floors and doing repairs on the north side. When the north side is completed, we will reverse the process. Abbey Carpets was here stripping the atrium elevator lobby carpets and prepping the lobby floor for new tile work. They started replacing the carpeting on the 7th floor and are working their way down from there. We received our new King and twin sized beds for each of the units. AandS continued to clean the units and
inventory anything that was missing or affected due to the storm. The maintenance team here has begun checking all the electronic items in each of the rooms to see if any need replacement. Dormakaba delivered our new door locks. They will be here on the 20th to begin installing the new locks on the unit doors. After the front office desk is built, they will be back to install our server and main floor lock system.
Each week we come closer and closer to reopening, but again, we do not have a firm date, which is frustrating to everyone involved. I’ve spoken to many owners, and I appreciate your love for Seawatch.
We are still confident about opening in the second quarter unless unforeseen circumstances appear. We will give everyone as much notice as we can. As a reminder, we are an active construction site, so
please don’t come to the property to “take a look.” Surveillance cameras continue to show folks on the weekends and at night coming and wondering around the site. I post as many relevant pictures as I can to show our progress. For your safety, please refrain from coming to the property until we reopen.
Staying Seawatch Strong,
Chip Fosth
