March 27, 2024 Chip Fosth Update

Valued Seawatch Owners, This week we continued rolling along with progress! This week our windows and internal doors began installation. It was wonderful seeing the plywood come down and natural light returning to the insides of the building. It should take about 2 weeks to get all the windows and doors set. The pool bathroom demo continued. The floor is being leveled to cut the channels for the new floor drains. The tiled walls were removed to access the plumbing so that can be redone as well. The Lobby floor is being ground down and leveled so the new tile work will flow properly from one side of the Lobby to the other. The guys from Dormakaba were here beginning to install the new unit door locks. They will be back to install internal common area doors, gate locks, and program the system. On the exterior, the new light poles
were delivered for the tennis court for installation shortly. Our beloved entrance sign, now that the south side has been restored, got its new Seawatch sign! The city of FMB continues to bring dump
trucks full of sand to fill in the areas of the beach that were damaged by the storm. We are hoping in the next week or so that they will fill our scour that connects the public access point to the beach which was dug up by the storm. The new pilings for the beach deck were delivered this week and I anticipate the new construction on that to begin shortly. Rock Solid was here this past week and made templates for the replacement stone on the pool bar. I can’t wait to show pictures of that in the next few weeks!

On Friday I met with Mark Wilson from the London Bay group that bought the Outrigger property, along with the other invited owners and Board members from the buildings on the 6000 block of the beach. They outlined their plans for developing that property. Their plans include 50 hotel rooms, 50 condos and 46 private residences on site. They are planning many public areas to include a “destination restaurant,” lobby bar, beach tiki bar, called “The Outrigger” beach bar to honor the legacy of the former landmark. They will have a “grab and go” coffee cafe in the front for pedestrian traffic. The unnamed project is still in planning stages, but they anticipate opening in 2028.

After a short delay, all the credits for 4th quarter were completed for all the SWFL Hilton resorts. Fourth quarter owners should see the credits in their accounts shortly if they have not already been posted. As a friendly reminder, Seawatch is an active construction site, even on the weekends and after hours. Please do not come to the property to take pictures and walk around the grounds.

Staying Seawatch Strong,
