Valued Seawatch Owners,
This was a landmark week for us! FPL came, as scheduled & restored the power at Seawatch! Now that we have consistent power, we will be able to begin checking all the appliances in the units to insure they are all working properly & in good order. This past week new mattresses were ordered for all the units. Each unit will have all new mattresses in the bedrooms, & in the sleeper sofas. This week we also received clearance to replace all the hot water heaters in the units. This will eliminate any potential leaks from old units & ensure that they are not plugged up or full of scale due to not being used for an extended period of time. We also received the permit for the privacy wall next to the pool by Island Winds. Universal Contracting will be in this week to begin laying out the lines for rebuilding the wall. United Plumbing will be out this week to begin laying out the drainage runs for the pool deck, so the concrete forms for the new pool deck can be laid out before the rebar supports can be built, prior to the new concrete being poured. They will also begin the process of digging up & replacing the drains that run to the city sewer that were impacted with sand & debris from the storm. The walls in the game room, front office & lobby were textured so that this week they can be primed, then painted. Mor-sports was out to lay down the final layer of fill for the tennis court, then put down the asphalt down on it! The asphalt will need to be cured for about 30 days before they can put the court top down. In those 30 days, they believe they will be able to put up the new fences & lights. Work on the pool bar & fire pump system continued this week as well. Hopefully this week we will have our new roof doors installed on the elevator shafts so we can have Schindler Elevators out to have the elevators fully inspected & make necessary repairs to them. Mid Island Watersports continues to keep our beach beautiful so it will be ready to use as soon as we reopen.
Having our power back on is a huge load off my mind & a major step forward in our restoration! I feel we are gaining speed now in our rebuild & I hope it continues to move at our current pace! Thank you all for your continued support.
Staying Seawatch Strong,
Chip Fosth
